RE: Your Letter
Greetings,
First,
please accept my thanks for taking the time to write a stranger. Second, please
accept my commendation for your obvious love of the Bible, GOD’s Word.
To the
point of your letter, assuaging ‘anxieties and distress’, I know that those who
do not believe in GOD’s Sovereignty, or Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence,
do face trying times. However, you and I believe completely and unfailingly in
HIS Word and take our cues from Jesus and HIS disciples in such scriptures as
John 14:1 ““Do not let YOUR hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in
God, exercise faith also in me.” In Matt 6:34 “So, never be anxious
about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties.
Sufficient for each day is its own badness.” Also solid is my faith in GOD’s
Word where at least 331 references exist from Genesis to Revelation of the idea
to ‘fear not’ ‘not fear’. Jesus prefaced many statements especially regarding
faith that we should not ‘fear’.
While
fear is usually spawned from unfamiliar experiences [like CoVid] it is normal initially;
but we remember the conversation in John 3:1-11 and particularly vs 16 and we
have no basis for either concern or fear. Instead we rest assured in the
promises of GOD. Psalm 91 states if we dwell in the secret place of the Most
High we will be provided shelter under HIS shadow. If we proclaim to GOD ‘HE is
our refuge and stronghold and is HE that we trust’ –vs 1,2 – the remaining 14
vs are promises HE makes to us for so doing. Notice the premiere vs of promise:
“For he himself will deliver you from the trap of the birdcatcher, From
the pestilence causing adversities.” But,
perhaps the most appealing vs is vs 11 “For he will give his own angels a
command concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.” – [Underline and bold
added for emphasis by me] As it is impossible for GOD to lie, all our ways is
therefore all encompassing. Notice how Psalm 92 opens as a way to emphasize GOD’s
promises as being sure: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing
praises to your name, O Most High; 2 to declare your steadfast
love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,”
A little history about us
We became
Christians in 1970 and 12/24/98 we were blessed with being born again and for
the entirety of the 50 years living in faith we have been blessed. Receiving
your letter is a blessing. Again, I thank you. It is heartwarming to see you actively
exhibit your faith and practice of preaching, teaching and ostensibly the making
of disciples and their inclusion into the Church established on Pentecost by
way of baptism via water and in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
ß Refer back to John 3 and the discussion Jesus had
with Nicodemus and being born again esp. vs 5.
Lastly, also
from Luke 21, your theme scripture, ““But pay attention to yourselves
that YOUR hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking
and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be
instantly upon YOU 35 For as a snare shall it
come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.. 36 But stay
awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape
all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before
the Son of Man.” How indeed will we escape all these things that are going
to take place? A corroborating vs is found in Rev 3:10, “Because you kept the
word about my endurance, I will also keep you from the hour of test, which
is to come upon the whole inhabited earth, to put a test upon those dwelling on
the earth.”
You are
always welcome to share your faith with us.
Ever
wonder why the statement “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither
the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.”? I am sure you
will agree the second coming of Christ is connected to the location of battle
referred to in Rev 16:16 as ‘Armageddon’ and that is the culmination of the Great
Tribulation so it is no secret when the 2nd coming will happen. We
know from the prophesy of Dan 9: 26-27 the 62 weeks finished with the death of
Jesus yet there is yet a full week of the 70 weeks consisting of 7 years [a day
for a year] still remains to be fulfilled wherein a covenant/contract is put
into place that lasts for half the week and the latter half of the week
discussed in the last of vs 27 and of course in Revelation chapters 4-19. The
second coming is not only known but can be as soundly understood and completed
as the foregoing 62 weeks of Daniel’s prophetic vision. So then, what is the
day and the hour we do not know? The answer is in the table below.
I have included
a copy of your letter for reference in case you did not save a copy for
yourself.
With much
agapé,

scriptural encouragement:

1 Cor 15:51-53
|
Behold, I tell you a
mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—
in a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the
dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible
must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on
immortality.

1 Thess 1:10

and to wait for His
Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus
who delivers us from the wrath to come.
|
1 Thess 2:19
|
For what is our
hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in
the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
|
1 Thess 3:13
|
so that He may
establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.
|
1 Thess 4:13-18
|
But I do not want you
to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you
sorrow as others who have no hope.
For if we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who
sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to
you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain
until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself
will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and
with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one
another with these words.

I Thess 5:1-9
|
But concerning the
times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
For you yourselves
know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they say,
“Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains
upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
But you, brethren,
are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of
light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not
sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
For those who sleep,
sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
But let us who are of
the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a
helmet the hope of salvation.
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but
to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Thess 2:6-8

And now you know what is restraining, that
he may be revealed in his own time.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already
at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is
taken out of the way.
And then the lawless
one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth
and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

“Let not your heart
be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
“In My Father’s house
are many mansions; if it were not so, I

prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that
where I am, there you may be also.

Now to Him who is

And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. |

For our citizenship is in heaven, from

who will transform our lowly body that it

is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

After these things I
looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the
first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with

NOTICE: If you are feeling inclined or feeling led to want Jesus as your Savior, your leader, your King, your source of Peace and Joy but are feeling woefully inadequate, uninformed on how best to get to know HIM, or find yourself at wit’s end because you believe yourself trapped and in need of GOD, please know Jesus stands ready to welcome you with HIS Holy Spirit. Believe these words: “16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “—John 3:16
“Repent therefore and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may
come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He
may send [c]Jesus Christ, who was [d]preached
to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until
the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the
mouth of all His holy prophets since [e]the world began.” –
Acts 3:19-20
“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most
assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see
the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when
he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of
God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you,
‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you
hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So
is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” – John 3:3-8
